July 2009 Business Connection
More Member News…
Recently, the Chamber received an unsolicited letter from Mr. Gary French, a visitor to our area from Livingston, Texas. Seems he had a problem with a broken window in his RV and needed immediate replacement and repair. He was lucky enough to not only be here in the Kelso-Longview area, but also to come in contact with Twin City Glass, a long time Chamber of Commerce member business. Here’s his letter:

To Longview Chamber of Commerce
I just wanted to let someone here in Longview know what a treasure you have in Twin City Glass on Vandercook Way.
I live in an RV and had a window broken. In 2 days they had it replaced and I was on my way! Businesses in Seattle had told me it would be 3 to 8 weeks.
Twin City Glass is a real asset to Longview.
Sincerely,
Gary French
Dear Good Sam:
Recently I had a window broken in my 5th wheel. Since we are full-timers, it was difficult to leave our “home” anywhere to have this window replaced. After shopping around the Seattle area and being told it would take 3 to 8 weeks to fix – cut and temper this glass. This was unacceptable. Since we were headed to Longview, Washington, a gentleman in Seattle suggested we call Twin City Glass in Longview.
We called them on Wednesday. They told me to stop in when I arrived on Thursday. The window was measured and a temporary piece of plexiglas was installed in 1 hour. On Friday they called and said the glass was ready. By 3:30, the window was replaced and we still had 2 days left before we left.
Twin City truly went the extra mile for me and I highly recommend them to all our friends. RVers and homeowners. Service like this is heartwarming and a pleasure to find.
Sincerely,
Gary French
